It is about using the power of your mind. When you visualize you create a mental image of of having or doing whatever it is that you want. You use your thoughts to imagine a certain outcome and when you create this image of already having what you want it will start making a physical change in your brain.

Using visualization techniques activates your subconscious which will start generating your images to achieve your goal. When you imagine yourself performing perfectly and doing exactly what you want, you physiologically create neural patterns in your brain, just as if you had physically performed the action.
The mind can’t distinguish between what is real and what is imagined and it will act upon the images you create within, whether they reflect your current reality or not. The process of visualizing your dreams creates new pathways in your brain that help you form new beliefs and you will begin to act differently and adopt new perspectives
How to do Visualization
Step 1 : Set The Mood
You have to be in a relaxed and positive state of mind when you attempt creative visualization. For example, you might try taking a quiet walk in a peaceful area, soaking in a hot bath or listening to mellow instrumental music.

Step 2 : Meditative State
Creative visualization tends to be most intense and meaningful if you take the time to do a straightforward meditative exercise before you begin.
Step 3 : Visualize your Goals
Once your mind feels still and receptive then start crafting an image of the thing you want, taking as long as you like to build up all of the details.
For example, if you are working towards a major promotion at work, imagine yourself receiving the announcement and picture the positive reactions of people around you.
Try to make the environment as realistic as possible, and do your best to experience not just the sights but also the sounds, scents and tactile sensations associated with your goal.
Step 4 : Hold on Visualization
Although the most important part of creative visualization is the process described in step three, you are more likely to see your goals manifest in your life if you allow your visualization experiences to influence the rest of your day.
Try to hold onto the feelings of pride, happiness, confidence, and peace that you experience when you picture your goal, and repeatedly affirm your belief that you will soon attract the things you earn for.
Step 5 : Habitat Visualization
you should make creative visualization a daily part of your life. Most people find it useful to set aside a specific time for the visualization such as a fifteen minute period before going to sleep but the most important thing is that you maintain your ritual of visualizing your goal until you obtain what you want in your life.
